Sleeping with the frogs...
I just finished getting the fourth and most elusive frog out of our room...to say the least it was one of the most gruelingly teadious tasks I've ever done. We basically had to move furniture from one side of the room to the other while we separated one of the little frogs from its buddys and "hopped" him to the front door(we did this 4 times)...quickly we realized that they were crawling under the door so then we had to patch the door/floor as we forced the little guys out!! They were so cute and fun at first but after 45 minutes the novelty was over and we didn't want to leave them in the room for fear that walking to the bathroom we'd squish one and that would be nasty.
Funny thing is that this was probably not the first time they've been in the room by crawling under the door, it was just the first time we saw them inside.
Just an update on surfing, I'm not improving like I thought, I figured I'd be doing handstands on the board by now....that's not happening! We've got only 7 days left in this town before we catch a 10 hour bus/4x4 out to the nearest airport in the city called Fortaleza. Basically next Thursday, Mar 27 we'll be flying to Rio de Janeiro. Our time here will come to an end unfortunately but it was so worth extending this segment of our trip.
Since this weekend is a holiday (Easter) this town of Jericoacoara turns into party haven for those looking to escape the religious holiday. We've heard some crazy things happen here and they stay here!
By the way, in reading cnn.com we've learned of the major gloom the economy has spiraled into...those words "recession" "rate cuts" "spiking oil" do not exist in Jericoacoara.
So if you want to get away...come here...quickly cause this is the weekend!
