Today is Tuesday, Tomorrow is Wednesday, and Thursday follows that...
Interesting how when you are away from a regular routine, a job, or any type of structure for that matter, you begin to mix up days and practically forget what day of the week it is. More often than not we need to actually remind ourselves the day of the week. Fact is that so many of the locals always ask us the time since we are the tourists that carry watches.
Well its been over 2 months since Paula and I Ieft NYC and its been a trip to see how NOT working makes life so much BETTER!! Hahahaha.. .seriously though city life begins to seem so fast paced and hectic and the constant reminder of time and importance of schedules now seems so constraining!
Basically being here in Jericoacoara has had such an impact on our mindset and really put us to think if NYC is a place that we really want to live and set up "shop"...Its been so chilled out here and everybody is always happy and the dilemas here are more like what sport do we play today or should we wait till the sun sets to have dinner or should we wear shoes to walk to the town store or...
The difficult decisions have completely gone surside!
I will never deny that NYC is one of the coolest places to live and enjoy with all the culture, entertainment, people, food, and on and on...but the feeling of tranquility here has been so sureal that we were trying to figure out today what we would do if we moved here and what business we could start up!!! In the end we need to leave Jericoacoara on Wednesday because we already purchased a flight to leave from the nearest city (about 8-10 hours) and fly straight to Rio de Janeiro. We decided to skip the 50 hours in bus rides down to Rio and fly down in comfort... We are not the best backpackers here...but hey that's what credit cards are for right??!!
We will sincerely miss Jericoacoara...but first let me hit the waves once again to keep working on my surfing!! Later

Hi! Paura and Jeffrey!!! Its fumiko!
I am sorry to response ur blog so late. But I have checked your website sometimes!! my school life has been so busy that I go crazy!
Anyway, whenever I see the videos and pics, I envy your travel. The pics at the Wedding are excelent! you two look very lovely and innocent.
NY is the great city, however living in NY takes away human's real nature associated with the sun, the moon, trees, mountains....
Enjoy travel for a while!!! Materialistic NYC is waiting for you two!!
